GKL Foundation Conducts “Companion Tree Rearing” Volunteer Activity for Multicultural Children
Employees and volunteers of the GKL Foundation and the public tourism enterprise Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), in collaboration with the non-profit organization Future Forest, have launched a “Companion Tree Rearing” volunteer activity to support multicultural children suffering from respiratory illnesses and other health conditions. Approximately 260 participants will raise companion trees, selected from endangered plant species, for 60 days before delivering them to multicultural families in Seoul and Busan. Since 2016, the foundation has been actively engaged in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to combat climate change through initiatives such as tree-planting projects in Inner Mongolia and supporting the restoration of forest fire-damaged areas in Korea.
