On August 17, Future Forest and the Climate Response Center participated in the very first side event (10:30–12:00) held in the Blue Zone at UNCCD COP17 in Mongolia. Ambassador for Land Byong-hyon Kwon, Founder of Future Forest, introduced the organization’s past journey alongside the “Forest of Tomorrow” tree-planting initiative carried out in Mongolia in partnership with E-MART.

Future Forest shared its vision of passing down the “Moon Jar”—a symbol of a sustainable future—to future generations through the Future Earth Mechanism, which aims to achieve Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and Carbon Neutrality (CN). Embodying our commitment to overcoming global environmental challenges and the climate crisis in Mongolia, we held a meaningful ceremony presenting these “Moon Jars of Hope” directly to young girls from both Mongolia and South Korea.
